Privacy Policy
Last Revised: July 2026
General
We know your privacy is important, and we work to earn and keep your trust. This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we collect, how we use it, when we may disclose it, and how you can review or change information you provide to us.
HandymanPro and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“HMP,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy.
This Policy applies when you visit https://handymanpro.app, use the HandymanPro web application, use the HandymanPro mobile application, use any websites or pages directly owned by HMP where this Policy is linked, or interact with HMP offline. Together, these are referred to as our “Platform.”
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that may link to or be accessible from our Platform. Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our practices, do not provide personal information to HMP or use the Platform.
Our Role as a Service Provider
HMP provides software and communication tools to home service businesses, contractors, remodelers, and trade professionals. In many situations, HMP processes information on behalf of those business customers so they can manage leads, estimates, jobs, invoices, appointments, reminders, and customer communications.
When you receive a text message, email, phone call, estimate, invoice, or other communication from a business using HMP, that business is generally the controller or owner of the customer relationship. HMP processes that information as a service provider according to our agreement with that business.
If you want to access, correct, delete, or otherwise exercise rights regarding information held by a business using HMP, please contact that business directly. If you are unsure which business contacted you, you may reply HELP to a message or contact us at privacy@handymanpro.app and we will assist where we can.
Terms of Use
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use, which are incorporated by reference where applicable.
What We Collect and How We Collect It
To provide the best possible experience, HMP may collect, store, use, and disclose personal information in accordance with this Policy. Personal information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with a particular person, household, device, or business contact.
Depending on how you use the Platform, HMP may collect categories of personal information such as identifiers, contact information, account information, business information, internet or network activity, geolocation or service-location information, professional or employment-related information, payment-related information, project information, message content, photos, files, and other information you choose to provide.
Examples may include name, postal address, email address, phone number, account name, IP address, business name, job title, service address, appointment details, estimate details, job notes, invoice data, payment status, message history, support requests, uploaded images, and platform activity.
We may collect information directly from you when you register for the Platform, subscribe to communications, submit a form, request support, review or comment on our products or services, apply for employment, provide billing information, upload files, communicate with us, or otherwise use the Platform.
We may collect information indirectly through your activity on the Platform, through a business customer that uses HMP, through service providers, through integrations you authorize, or through automated tools described below.
Please provide only relevant information when using free-text fields, support forms, live chat, or message features. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, unrelated financial information, medical information, or other sensitive data unless specifically required for a service.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, product improvement, research, and business purposes. If we combine aggregated or de-identified information with personal information so that it can identify you, we treat the combined information as personal information.
Automated Information Collection
When you visit our Website or use the App, we may collect information automatically using tools that gather data about your device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, actions taken, saved preferences, log-in session information, and other usage details.
We may use session cookies, persistent cookies, strictly necessary cookies, performance cookies, functionality cookies, targeting or advertising cookies, analytics tools, web beacons, embedded links, and similar technologies. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may limit some Platform functionality.
We may use analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to understand website performance, measure marketing effectiveness, and improve our services. Third-party providers process data according to their own policies and agreements with us.
Links in emails or messages may include tracking technology so we can understand whether a link was opened or clicked and improve the performance of our communications.

- Operate CRM, scheduling, estimate, job, invoice, payment, messaging, and customer management features.
- Enable businesses to communicate with customers, leads, employees, subcontractors, and service professionals.
- Provide customer support, account administration, onboarding, troubleshooting, and training.
- Send transactional, service-related, appointment, estimate, invoice, payment, and account notices.
- Personalize and improve your experience with the Platform.
- Improve our products, services, marketing, security, and usability.
- Invite feedback, conduct surveys, and understand customer needs.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security threats.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Carry out any other purpose disclosed when information is collected or described in an applicable agreement.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Platform, maintaining records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preserving security, maintaining backups, and supporting legitimate business operations. When the applicable retention period ends, we delete or de-identify information according to our practices and legal obligations.
How We Disclose Your Information
We do not sell or lease your personal information. We may disclose personal information for business purposes to the categories of recipients described below.
- Affiliates and subsidiaries. We may disclose information within our company group to provide services, support customers, and operate our business.
- Service providers and subprocessors. We use third-party providers for hosting, infrastructure, SMS and voice carrier services, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, customer support, security, artificial intelligence features, and other operational services.
- Aggregated or de-identified information. We may use and disclose information that does not identify a person for analytics, research, marketing, and product improvement.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, law enforcement request, enforce agreements, investigate security threats or fraud, or respond to an emergency.
- Business transfers. If HMP buys, sells, merges, finances, reorganizes, or transfers all or part of its business, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Our current material service providers may include Twilio for SMS and voice communications, cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, SendGrid for email delivery, Stripe for payment processing, customer support and CRM tools, Anthropic for AI-assisted features, Google Analytics, and Meta advertising measurement tools. We require service providers to protect personal information and process it consistent with this Policy and our agreements.
Your Choices and Privacy Preferences
Where possible, we provide choices about what information you provide and how communications are managed. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. Transactional or service-related messages are generally excluded from marketing preferences because they are needed to provide requested services.
Text Messaging
Mobile information and text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from the disclosure categories described above and will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
You may opt out of a messaging program at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPT-OUT to a message. You may receive one final confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out. You may request help by replying HELP. Message frequency varies based on the messaging program and your relationship with the sender. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You may receive SMS or text messages through the Platform, and you may receive voice calls, pre-recorded messages, or auto-dialed calls when you affirmatively elect to use or receive such communications. These communications may be used to authenticate identity, verify a device, provide service updates, send appointment reminders, send estimate or invoice notices, and deliver other information related to requested services.
By providing a mobile number to HMP or to a business using HMP, you represent that you have authority to receive messages at that number and consent to messaging consistent with the applicable terms and opt-in language. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
HMP may use artificial intelligence (“AI”) to enhance and support certain Platform features. AI-powered features may include data extraction, processing assistance, communication assistance, summarization, drafting support, operational automation, and other improvements. We may add, modify, or remove AI-powered features over time.
When you or a business customer uses an AI-powered feature, relevant data may be transmitted to a third-party AI provider for processing. The provider returns AI-generated output to us, and we display or store that output in the Platform as directed by the feature. Our current material AI provider may include Anthropic, PBC. We may use additional or alternative providers in the future and update this Policy when appropriate.
We do not use customer data, end-user personal information, or message content sent through the Platform to train AI or machine learning models in a way that identifies you or any individual. We may use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to a person to improve services and develop features. Where we use third-party AI providers, we require restrictions designed to prevent them from using transmitted data to train or improve their models except as permitted by our agreements.
AI-generated output is provided as a convenience and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it or sending it to others. HMP does not use AI to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Accuracy and Access to Your Personal Information
We strive to maintain accurate information and use processes designed to support data accuracy. Where we can provide direct account access, we may require login credentials or other verification before allowing access or changes. You may update certain information directly in the Platform or contact us for assistance.
Information of Minors
We do not intentionally seek to collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16 through public-facing websites, marketing channels, or signup flows, and we do not target the Platform to minors.
Business customers may enter information about household members, service recipients, or other contacts as part of managing jobs, estimates, invoices, or service requests. The business customer is responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent when applicable. HMP processes that information as a service provider and as needed to deliver the Platform.
We do not sell or share personal information of anyone we know to be under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising or for monetary or other valuable consideration.
Submissions
If you provide feedback, suggestions, testimonials, public reviews, ideas, comments, or other submissions directly to HMP through public or designated channels, those submissions may be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. We may use submissions to improve our products, support customers, or promote HMP, subject to applicable law and any permissions required for use of your name, image, or identifying details.
This section does not apply to private communications, customer data, job notes, estimate content, invoice content, message content, or other information entered into the Platform as part of normal operations for a business customer.
Third-Party Websites and Services
Our Platform may link to, integrate with, or allow you to interact with third-party websites and services. This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site or service before providing information.
Your Rights Under State Law
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may provide rights regarding personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain processing of personal information. These laws may include the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and other applicable state privacy laws.
Where applicable, you may request access to information we collected, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of information, portability of information, opt-out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, and non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information. We may use certain advertising or analytics tools on our marketing website that could be considered “sharing” under some state laws; you may contact us to request opt-out assistance.
To exercise rights, contact us at privacy@handymanpro.app or write to us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If an authorized agent makes a request on your behalf, we may require proof of authorization. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we decline a request, you may have the right to appeal by contacting us at privacy@handymanpro.app and identifying the request you wish to appeal.
For Website Users or Visitors Outside of the United States
HMP is based in the United States and the Platform is primarily designed for use in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. We process personal information according to this Policy regardless of where it is stored.
Safeguarding the Information We Collect
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us of any actual or suspected unauthorized use.
If we determine that a breach of unsecured personal information has occurred, we will provide notices required by applicable law without unreasonable delay, subject to law enforcement needs or time reasonably necessary to investigate and restore the integrity of affected systems.
Careers at HMP
If you submit information to be considered for employment with HMP, we may use that information to evaluate qualifications, communicate with you, conduct hiring activities, and comply with legal obligations. We will not use employment application information for unrelated purposes except as permitted by this Policy or applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time as our Platform, practices, or legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will post the revised Policy on this page and update the “Last Revised” date above. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
