HandymanPro (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the HandymanPro mobile application and web platform (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and business information (company name, address, and service details).
Customer Data
As part of providing our field service management tools, you may enter customer names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and job details. This data is entered and managed by you and stored securely on our servers.
Device Permissions & Data
Our mobile app may request access to the following device features:
- Camera: Used to scan product barcodes and take job site photos. Photos are uploaded to your account and are not shared with third parties.
- Location: Used to track mileage between job sites. Location data is stored only within your account for your business records.
- Photo Library: Used to select and upload existing photos to job records.
Usage Data
We may collect general usage data such as pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the Service. This data is not linked to individual customer records.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To manage your account and business operations
- To send transactional communications (appointment reminders, invoices, estimates)
- To process payments through our payment processor (Stripe)
- To improve and develop new features
- To provide customer support
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customer data to third parties.
We may share limited data with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service:
- Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Twilio: SMS and voice communications. Subject to Twilio’s Privacy Policy.
- SendGrid: Email delivery. Subject to Twilio/SendGrid’s Privacy Policy.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing)
- Role-based access controls
- Tenant-isolated data architecture (your data is completely separated from other businesses)
- Regular automated backups
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law. You may request data export or deletion at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:
- Access, update, or correct your personal information at any time through the app
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
